My entire existence is cringe but
one time I was sitting at a family dinner and we were talking about old memories during a time I basically lived with my cousins at my uncles house
and I said, in the middle of a story I was telling- “and we were in our tshirts and underwear (referring to me and my cousin who in this story were young children) ... for some reason we were always in tshirts and underwear when we were at his house.”
Why did I say that? I don’t know but it haunts me.
Shit, I'm really going to have to think about this.
There's a considerable deal of post-rationale cringe over my past, and I expect to feel somewhat like that about right this moment when I'm older.
About 3 years ago, went with some acquaintances to a pub. After drinking and having fun, me and another guy went on to a club. There he asked me about something that happened to me that I laughed off earlier while in the group. Unfortunately, it was not something I could actually laugh off, so I proceeded to pour-out my sadness about it blanc-style for 10 minutes, not leaving out what sort of childhood issues could be at the root of it. Ruined the mood, he got visibly concerned and upset, we finished our drinks and simply went home.
