My friend from high school is a professional children’s book illustrator and she still absolutely draws from references to suit her imagination so—I don’t see your point really.

My point's connected to other people in the topic giving you imaginative things to draw that you're turning down. 

You can only draw literal things, and if I'm wrong, draw the most imaginative thing you can think of as your next prompt to prove me wrong.

Damn someone's mad about being critiqued, again. This is a part of being an artist, you need to learn to swallow that pill if you wish to stop being a mediocre copy machine. 

This topic might have been made by you, but it's about as much yours as any other topic made on here. Also if you haven't noticed we have been talking about your art, and mine. 

I ought to critique the flaws in your Chapo sketch to see you chimp out further.
