When i first started SC, TC was just one of the posters, but when he would debate users, he would focus on the topic of the debate... and perhaps include some psychology but it would not be personal or attacking. He was inquisitive and had good memory and asked tough questions-- only caring about the truth. He was fair with everyone and stable in temperament. Thats why i made him mod.... long time user... fair temperament... inquisitive and smart...
But then came the downfall.
During his modship, id say the first sign of change was how TC seemed to enjoy when jim would flirt with him, calling him a pretty boy or w.e. Then TC got a GF... raven or w.e, and i heard rumor that he had used his mod powers in favor of her on several occasions, though i never really followed him that closely.
TC started to get mad at me, and turn on me when he felt I as a programmer was not doing good enough job creating tools to help him effectively combat the CP posters. He thought i was being neglectful of SC and lazy, and so he dint like how instead of working to make better tools... instead i appoint a 2nd mod as better tools took time to build, and we needed a faster solution. Thats when things really went own hill. TC to this day i think will argue that i did not do enough to address the CP problem, and i think he will argue that had i been a better admin, he could have stayed as sole mod.
After i modded inq, TC started to act out refusing to moderate spam or remove cp, and also we had a competitor forum at the time called kiwi farms, and to annoy me, the owner of that forum offered to create a new sub section of their forum which would basically cater to our members, and try to pull them away from SC in an attempt to poach our members. He offered TC to be a moderator of it, and tc accepted.
That annoyed me because now one of only 2 moderators of my board was what i assumed encouraging members of SC to move to a new board
TC accept the mod position, and so i demodded him. There was tons of drama over it, so much so that my brother could tell i was getting emotionally affected by the drama, and also several members were mad i demodded him. I may have banned him too i dont recall.
So my brother told me to take a break from the forum for a couple months and he stepped in and made TC a mod again and everything kinda died back down for the most part and i stayed away from SC for several months. When i came back eventually, TC was still a mod for years after that i just kinda tolerated him, but then......... this user called crave didnt like how i was running things for some reason, and i challenged her to create her own forum, and so she did, and she made TC a moderator, and once again TC accepted and tc started to encourage users to go to this new forum called "edge community", and so i demodded tc again and it was at that point that TC stoped posting on SC. He would only post on edge community, but after a few months.. edge community died.
After the death of EC, TC kept lurking on SC but he never came back to full posting. It stayed like that for a year or 2 until finally TC started to post again as puppets attacking me and SC
Eventually, after I killed SC, and it was remade by "good", TC was made 1 of i think like 4 or 5 mods and thats where we are today.
This is my perspective on how events went down. Some lessons from this is that people change. TC WAS a good mod for the first couple years. he truly was, but time and SC changed him. Power changed him. TC first claimed to accept mod of SC so that no one else could have the power and abuse it. That is noble. He wanted power so that the corrupt could not have it.
In a way I turned TC into a monster I think. I ignored him too much. He put his entire life's worth on the fact that he was sole mod, and I appointed a second. I didn't realize at the time how deeply he would be affected.
I miss the old TC, but he is gone. His self worth and identity has transitioned from an inquisitive young SC moderator full of potential and future, to a transsexual car-less unemployed NEET living on government disability and 1 of a handful of moderators on SC. His self worth is gone these days. His identity is wrapped up in how influential he thinks he is among the users of SC. It has turned him from someone cool and relaxed and detached, to someone extremely emotionally involved, and biased. He's no longer fit to be a moderator of anywhere.
All of this as a direct response to this:

I love her version, it shows such a disconnect from the forum's story that can't be explained by just ego rewriting and negligence, but forgetfulness as well. Even when she gains new information it never sticks.
I wasn't even our first mod.
