I’ve seen customer service people do really nice stuff like giving people things for free all the time
or making last minute offers to knock prices down off things and give you deals
super nice stuff like that
I think the employee already didn’t like this woman and like told her to call the number just to piss her off
I know people aren’t entitled to stuff just because they drove really far but I think because of the constant reimbursements customers get when employees fuck up, this woman subconsciously was like programmed to believe she should get something for free in that moment
because the employee made a mistake
that’s how it goes these days, employee makes a mistake and you get a free piece of cheese cake on the House.
So that’s why she felt like she would get something
I’ve seen it before where one time I walked into a store with no shoes, and asked to buy shoes that were the cheapest pair
and the guy saw me at the check out and said “don’t worry it’s on the house” and im like oh you don’t have to do that
lol but he just felt for me in that situation and he was like yo, it’s ok.
She could of been like “yo I’m so sorry, get yourself two free candles on us.”
Ya know? Lol
