A lot of people get free rides tho. Especially if they are a minority. And then all they want to study is race and culture, well not all of them but at my school that's the trend. Although the james baldwin scholarship they give out is only for one year, so all these POC get reamed trying to pay for the other three years.

 one year to get you hooked... right, but also if you work hard you can get free tuition with a scholarship. other two year less expensive trades are worthwhile also. i know very successful and well off plumbers running their own businesses. plumbers are in demand with growth and maintenance.

Maybe they will be the ones to fix the system and make University as cheap as highschool as it should be. Coming out of school in debt blows and an economy that cuts that out will probably excel 10 fold.

 i can see where the debt would be risk and some people avoid risk. you just have to have confidence and get a solid degree like accounting or some other valued skill.

if someone wants a education bad enough they can get it. it just takes work.

It's become a business, of overpriced textbooks, plus those textbooks for some reason are not up for resale or reuse. 

I do agree asking for free stuff like an education is absurd though. If there was no debt situation, maybe we'd see better progress.

I've been to college but not University. My field wasn't available there, but I'm glad about it. I got a few University people in my circle and the degree doesn't do anything for them in life, except if you work in Education or some medical space, electrical engineering. There are also more students coming out than job openings which usually favor experienced workers. If you don't get your foot in the door right away, you might end up competing with the next wave of graduates which does happen in most cases.

I watch a lot of financial/self improvement stuff. The boring stuff that really doesn't get a lot of views.

I think most of what's mentioned in here is true. It's why I say, the harder we work, the less we'll make.

 right, demand for the skill is what matters for success. not just some fancy paper on the wall.

this chart is a total fabrication, source please. i know for a fact the price of college has only gone of 25% in 30 years. i was there and paid for college myself. lies with statistics are common.

also the comparison should compare minimum wage instead of median income as most young people are not even close to the median wage.

You're right that the median wage doesn't quite capture the full picture. Using minimum wage would make it look even worse though.
