They actually respond to their 'fans' pretty readily, and their content can even reflect it.ughhhh dont encourage me

There's a surprising amount of people who really have no one giving them attention, many with psych ward histories.
Youtube's the current gold rush, so everyone's there, and this format is like having public access to journals that ought to have been more private.
Just be ready for a combination of youtube guidelines and disabled comment sections.

I'm not sure, some of my more fun ones have fallen off the radar or seem to take more precautions now.

The time of day tends to have a reflection on what you'll find as well. The ones with low subscriber counts tend to be less streamlined and hungrier for fans, and some even do live streams where they talk to the people typing at them (usually late at night), and they'll usually keep the stream on their channel as a video after it's done.
