its funny the young misconceptions of age. even funnier is soon you will understand that age does not change who you are. it just adds life experience to your person.

Are you kidding I can see it and in some respects self-comparatively feel it happening.

There's tons of studies on the impacts of it. A lot of the mind and body's giving up happens around age 25, but in stages our components all have deteriorative lifespans on different time clocks.

there is no magic age where you become a different person with different ideas and values.

It's a gradual process that hides itself from us, but looking at who we used to be can show what's changed.

It's why time travel plots have fun with "past you" meeting "future you"

Yeah we change. But it's not like our mind is dissolving. It's more like we choose to be unshackled or shackled. If you don't change then you were probably hard headed to begin with, and you'll most likely be miserable if you cling onto your old ways.

You begin to realize how it's all just choice. Some say if they could start over, how they wouldn't change a thing. HA ! Nonsense !

You only have one chance at growing old. No second tries. There's only one way and then you die

im not saying some things dont change at all over time, of course you do. i used to not like tomatoes

now i love them.

im saying that your core personality and the person that you are inside stays the same.

seems there is this cultural expectation to "grow up".  well i say fuck that, stay young at heart.

i would like to read these studies you are talking about. did you have one in mind?

The link works for me.

I just searched for articles about brain neuroplasticity as you grow old. It plummets around the 25 year mark, and that fact has cognitive repercussions.

So you're just arguing that one's Nature perseveres while one's Nurture is prone to change?

Two parts "Well duh" and one part "Nature can change with external help" (chronic pill use, car accidents, lobotomies, etc). Otherwise deteriative issues like Alzheimer's can drastically change a person.

yes, that sound right. and i do understand generalizing about 7,5 billion people may be a stretch. just speaking for myself and a few others that i've talked to.

changes in nature or personality may be a sign of some type of mental problems or pill use or damage like you have outlined above
