Stranger Things 3 and toxic feminism

So, I recently sat down and watched this latest season of stranger things and was surprised by how much horrible feminist propaganda was in it. The males in this season were in my view, treated like shit to the point that I wondered if the show was critiquing feminism rather than praising, but sadly I believe they actually take this shit seriously.

So what exactly happens in this show that reinforces toxic feminist propaganda and downright devalues the men in the show?

Above all, Mike gets totally fucked over by both Max and Eleven for doing basically nothing except trying to follow Hoppers instructions so he would still be able to see Eleven, which was to spend some days without her. This baffles Eleven and she turns to her female friend Max who despite having no context, takes it upon herself to tell Eleven how Mike is a controlling male liar that views her as property and encourages her to break up with him (which she does soon later), have Eleven abuse her powers to spy on the him (they use this part to shame men for having banter about how odd women can act), and introduces her to being a rampant materialist via shopping (in the process she implies Mike somehow stopped her from partaking in this and openly encourages her to disobey Hopper). During this sequence she also repeatedly demeans her own boyfriend repeatedly for no apparent reason, making rude comments about men as a whole.

Unsurprisingly, the antagonist is a man who became the bad guy he is by (surprise!) an abusive dad.

Steve in particular has been made into a total tool; a fallen Chad who now works as an ice scream scooper with no future, one who repeatedly gets overshadowed by his female coworker and comes to embrace the friendzone that she later throws him into because guess what? She is GAY.

Even Dustin was designated a female counterpart for feminists to compare him to just to make yet another empty point.

Both Hopper and Jonathan are downgraded to orbiters who are pulled from a complacent state by their wamens to investigate the mind flayer, though moreso Jonathan.

Oh and, they only killed off male characters, including Hopper.

This is the type of shit the men of the future are spoonfed.... Lord save us.

I agree it was a turn off from the show for me. It like detracted from the plot/had very little to do with it. They made a bigger deal about it than was truly necessary.

Yes we should be appreciating women and empowering them to be confident and shit like that, but... why does your tv show have to be about political propaganda?

It takes away from the "indie-ness" of it. And it no longer feels "cool"

You can tell that like big time financial producers got their hands on it, and this season just tanked in my opinion because... just the "art" and passion from it was completely gone.

The actors were stiff, unnatural and uncomfortable. The plot didn't thicken nicely, little intrigue was created and it was just like a constant action film just like bombarding us with AND THEN THIS AND THEN THIS AND THEN THIS AND THEN THIS AND THEN BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM!!!! and then -season 3 ends-

i'm like... uh... ok then. Because I had no interest to begin with, because they weren't able to generate that in the audience, there's very little hype surrounding stranger things 3.

people don't feel as attached to the characters, because there's no depth to them now.

and they overplayed the 80's kitchyness to the point of it being sickening. There used to be comedic bits thrown in, in season 1. just perfectly juxtapositioned to provide actual comedic relief at just the right time- unexpectedly.

but now, it's just being used as filler, to pass the time- and it's not even funny. BORING.

and there's like these autistic kids running around a mall in la la land, and then there's this retarded police officer getting mad about 12 year olds being in a relationship? and the relationship is like really retardedly depicted and disgusting. nothing about it was "shippable" to say the least. it just felt really awkward and u just wanted it to stop. and then there's these retarded kids in the back of an ice cream shop acting retarded over some satellite thing and some russian code... it was absolutely the most retarded thing i've ever watched.

like watching monkeys bang themselves with pans... senseless garbage. this wasn't artful creation, it didn't have a message, it wasn't relatable, it didn't hit home. ugh.

all of it was just trash honestly. dissapointing! TANK
