It makes sense. As she got older her body was starting to turn into a fine lady and Ron for being Ron was tired of wanking bloody hell harry!

 

And we all know Hermione at least in the first and second movie has an obvious crush on Harry, after all he is the MOST POPULAR KID IN THE MAGICAL WORLD FOR GOD SAKES!
