I don't understand the appeals of rainbow patterns at all. 

Real rainbows are cool, but using it as a pattern is like color vomit to me.

There's a double rainbow that appears across from the balcony from time to time. Same spot, about 100 meters from here. Next time I'll go over to check it out.

I agree, raindbows are nice because of the context and environment but when people take those things away and just apply the colour scheme of a rainbow it looks like, well you put it quite aptly. Colour vomit.
