it would be like a town where everyone expresses themselves with creativity and learns so much about nature they become self reliant and we could all grow together and learn and take turns teaching eachother
we could have a church where theres no specific god they are worshipping and we could all pray together to "god" whomever that may be, and we could all have open debates ect
over time we could buy more and more land and make gardens and parks and temples and underground passages and libraries and home schooling co ops, where every child learns to speak multiple languages and the focus is on science and we can watch national geographic ect and encourage children to make their own theorys
people could come and go as they please, but people would leave less and less, not because we discouraged them to but because they would be happy. and we can live how humans were meant to
and go on hunting trips and exploration trips of hawaii and the islands, and fishing trips, and then we could have a nice boat and we could vote on who uses the boat and when
we could do aquaponics and farm rabbits and guinnea pigs and chickens to eat, and go on foraging trips where we all find food in the wild and study what we find and cook it. and as im writing this, i have become determined to do this. maybe slowly overtime we would spread and impact thoes around us, until like half of the island is like this and it becomes paradise, and everyone would be inspired and work together. the key to happiness is love and friendship and having your needs met, and one of the ways to get this is working together, because when a group works towards something together, their bond becomes stronger, and the intrest becomes more about the group as their family, so they all make eachother happier, until everyone contributes to collective joy until we are all as happy as we can be
This sounds less like a cult and more like a commune.
Some communes are also cults.
There's commune cults back from the 70s that didn't have a uniform dress code, but otherwise still worshipped a Swami-like figure that reduced his followers to tools of his more immediate selfish agendas.
As for this "Good Cult" nonsense, the notion of a cult is the dehumanizing aspect that lets you feel as if you're a part of something "GREATER THAN YOURSELF", whatever that's supposed to mean.
I still however see cults as the wave of the future, as it's the next logical step past our current Portable Reality themed Subculturalism. Oddly enough though, a lot more modern cult practices instead of demonizing those unlike them as mentally ill... now either claim it does not exist or that they are the ones "with the real answers". Talk about ego backpats towards a wide-yet-disenfranchised audience.
Unicult is an interesting one. It began as an online cult but it has some real estate:
VICE has a playlist specifically about cults. It's good shit.
this is what i mean by a good cult- for example, most cults demonize outsiders. but ours would be like "well the key is friendship, getting your needs met, love ect, and some people just find that in another way." for example, not everyone wants to farm. some people like to be by themselves more. some people may not like science as much, and like playing video games with a group of friends. and thats ok.
