I feel like this is kinda weird, but...I'll just go ahead and share it anyways. One time Scarlett was walking to violin classes in Sydney's Korea town. She lived really close to the place where she got lessons, so she would always carry her violin on her to and from. There would be these kids close by the place on the street playing. She would go up to them, and because she has perfect pitch, she would just start playing what they were playing. But she would play it even better and show them up, the kids would get sad and leave. And she was laughing when she told me about this. I tried to explain to her that the kids were just trying to make money or whatever. She said that the way she was raised, that should just be like motivation to get better.
