That's just baiting.. it's definitely defensive by nature. It's so effective because you get them to attack you first.

"Defensive" means to protect. Are you able to provide an example of how baiting could be used to protect the individual who is baiting?

Being attacked is definitely a possible outcome of baiting others, but not necessarily. However, if they do attack you and you respond by being defensive, that doesn't make the initial bait defensive; it simply makes that particular response defensive. 

Ignorance is a shield, egotism is a weapon. 

Shield against what? Elaborate. You're using very specific language as if you have a particular scenario in mind.

You're restrained by the rules of logic and reality, allowing those who can step out if to tool you around for their own amusement. You keep chasing clarity and sense while they're fucking around and having fun with you.

Actually Jim, I have the ability to be just as nonsensical as you. You've seen me demonstrate that here in the past.
