So, it's been awhile so I figured I would give a comprehensive update on me and Delora's life. There's been quite a few ups and downs since my "Hawaii appreciation thread" so buckle up. Unlike that thread, I will not be using a day by day format, but rather, sticking to a more general and freewheeling format. I'll try to keep paragraphs but no promises.
So I believe where we left off, me and Delora were very hyped up over the prospect of getting a boat to rent out on the nice harbor in Waikiki, that was about a month ago and, needless to say we are no longer hyped up about that boat. Needful to say, we wish we could sink the damn thing. Similar to the house on Oblivion that you buy in Anvil and is haunted, the boat was like that, except worse..... it wasn't haunted by ghosts, it was haunted by bedbugs. We found the little fuckers within a day of moving our stuff in and immediately panicked. And so, we paid a SECOND rent (along with the 600 rent and 600 deposit for the boat) for 750 and returned to our old room.
Since then we've been slowly building back up, improving the old room. We ditched hiding from the roaches in a space consuming tent for roach traps and poison, and a bed. We got shelves, a table, and two chairs. A nearby rest stop type place had a bedbug killing oven, and we were able to go to the boat and recover our stuff slowly but alas, the boat was robbed of 2 phones, our laptops, my SS card, and my xbox. We were able to get a lot of the stuff though. We also got hang on shelves from a Japanese dollar store. Delora got a guinea pig. We joined a weekly dungeons and dragons party We got to know the neighbors a little better, and one of them turned out to be selling a great gaming laptop for only 60. I bought it, obviously, as we needed one. We are also going to buy a new phone for 10 dollars, and after that we will have pretty much totally rebuilt from what we lost, which would be nice.
In other news, we are planning on going back to OH this fall so we can be with my family for the holidays, possibly for my fall semester at my previous school, due to it being better for electrical engineering than Hawaii schools, and to attend the Renaissance festival there. We plan to send the landlord here the rent with her check so we can come back to HI at the end of my fall semester (or maybe spring, but for all intents and purposes, I'd prefer to do summer and fall semester in OH and skip winters in cold ass Ohio for sunny Hawaii.
And, that's all folks!
