As a kid in class I had poor grades until secondary school. I was the cool kid. I decided to start studying when I was 14 and then I became the best in academia too. 

This causes him to be blind to his biggest blindspot and intellectualize everything

I guess my biggest blindspot is indeed very big. That terribly big blindspot, which I am blind to.
