Only reason I wouldn't say Watchmen is better is because the graphics were entirely rushed and look like crap even for that era. And honestly I don't even like a lot of old games because of terrible graphics. Batman Arkham Knight you're just iceskating around at the speed of a car whenever you punch people with a weird contrast of you moving at a normal speed when you don't have the combo freeflow nonsense multiplying your speed. Makes it worse that they try to say your suit makes you faster when it's not a powered suit, just lighter than the last one. Watchmen felt like an actual brutal fight where you want to rely on spacing and tools and aggressive flanking tactics.
I feel like these two pieces of media address entirely unrelated themes from one another.
Batman is a self-contained universe, Watchmen is a commentary on said universe.
Edit: If you mean solely over gameplay I've only played the Arkham games.

Yes the Batman games make no sense. You move like the Flash and the games are all baby shit easy because of it. In certain games crazy movement makes sense and can be fun, but I think the game industry just overdid it too much to appeal to people who always demand the same crazy movement mechanics to where even Batman moves like an anime character and honestly maybe even faster than most of them. Also the inability to turn off the challenges and timer in Predator ar maps is really annoying. I just want to enjoy the scene/experience and not worry about score and shit all the time.
To me realism = fun unless it's a cartoonverse like Smash and I especially don't like arcade/twitch shooters on pc because it's uncomfortable and just a headache. Even shooters on consoles with a controller are bit overrated but at least it's more fun and fair with a controller where you don't have to worry about settings and setup.

He does almost half-way teleport in the Arkham games in combat, enough so they've almost defined it as it's own genre. Look into Kiborg if you enjoy this zip-zoom level of combat, otherwise... it's not the genre for you.
Personally, if you're hating this kind of shit, look up the game Sifu. The movement's fluid, the speed is realistic enough, the buttons flow over each input having intention rather than being something complex to memorize, it's good shit.
