Literally so many characters in the last one the sales will be fine regardless of whether Snake makes it back

...you, uh, expect them to get shit like Sora, Sephiroth, and Kazuya in more than one game?

Have you seen the roster of the current Smash game? There's no way they can top that.

Haven't played it with every character or anything but you are reinforcing my point that even if Sora isn't in the next game the sales would be fine.

Fighting game enthusiasts are the only people to actually appreciate the roster being downsized. They care more about learning how to counter the entire cast, which with a cast of 89 playable characters is almost impossible to accomplish.

Casuals meanwhile enjoy playing their favorite characters, and even as I mentioned earlier part of what has me resistant to playing Melee (the superior game) is that it doesn't have my main in it.

Nintendo has always had a weird opinion about their tournament scene for these games, going out of their way to make it more convenient for casuals by actively punishing mechanics like Wave Dashing by adding a trip mechanic that has a % chance to trigger every time you change directions. A lot of why Melee is still appreciated at this point is because it came before Nintendo started actively throwing their competitive viability into the trash.

The big cast is the selling point, their marketing, was 'Everyone Is Here'. How are they supposed to top that short of paying a ton of money out of their own pocket to get those IPs again, assuming the companies who's IPs those are are even willing to have them in more than one title.

Dodge bomb takes tons of skill you ignorant retard.

Raining bombs with the sudden death mechanic is pure chaos. You don't even need to be good at Smash Bros for that mode, you just need to pick Fox and be decent with a controller.

I could say the same thing about your freeze game.

It's quite the opposite of sheer chaos, it's the most fragile item in the game. Attacks from the enemy can break it to prevent it from hitting them or dodge it or catch it, but in doing so they give up being in the neutral state as victims of their character's frame data.

The item can be thrown to create opportunities, and unlike generic container items they have no risk of randomly exploding.

*Picks up handheld and starts browsing*

Packed away with a black Gamecube, I think I have Meelee with it. Never really got into it this game and will only play anyone of the series if I'm with company who wants to. Happens once a decade.

Here's what I think Nintendo will do, since their modern business plans are properly good and greedy while pissing off their fans and consumers.

- Make some characters paid content.

Nintendo's best days were in the 90's, when consoles started delivering graphics good enough for an arcade. Now their next console is always as good as the last, with a worse deal.

Anyway,

*Forks over handheld to a little white boy as his face glows from the screen as his facial expression lights up with excitement*

*Pats the boy's head while his bulging eyes are glued to the screen*

enjoy your Super Mario while you can.

I think you should stay away from little white boys.
