Defend what exactly? Their criminal activity and nefarious degeneracy? In some ways its an open secret kind of like the whole Ashley Madison thing or whatever. Then comes along Q Anon and Pizzagate and Alex Jones etc. etc. Noise on the signal to maybe not take serious the real shit.
What I find interesting more is the juxtaposition with this thrust of current culture and its media saturation, we're finally exposing and making digitally immortal the whole record of events, against seeing our very same government lie to our faces about things everyone can see right in front of their eyes. It gets sort of thrown around as more of a joke about AI-armed misinformation tactics. I am actually scared to be scared (if that makes sense) that we're poised in that moment in history where such a threat is real.
Eyes are being forced open here almost like that Clockwork Orange scene. I wonder how long we can all collectively stare at the horrible truths before we react... And what will that reaction be?
