I don't know how the driving license system works in the states, but I'm seeing how you can get driving lessons at competitive prices.
One time I tried to teach a friend how to drive, and, it wasn't a good idea as he damn near got into an accident, or rather, nearly crashed into a parked car and had no concept of easing on the brake. So that was it. He's ADHD and probably autistic. When I look into if autistic people should drive, I'm seeing yes they can, and no they shouldn't. This means some drive very well, and some are shit behind the wheel.

Driving is simple, and you should probably look at it that way in advance.
If you think you understand how to operate a car, you'll probably succeed at driving. If you have no clue the car will move forward when letting off the brake, then you never observed or put any thought into operating a car with an automatic transmission. If you pump the brake hard while in motion at any speed, even when slowly moving forward, you will upset the instructor the same way any passenger would be upset. They usually have patience and they will also have a brake on their side of the car.

I don't think you necessarily need one. Just worry about what's in front of you instead of that.
Cars are liabilities. You'll get a used shitbox if you're not making much, and it'll only be a matter of time before the cost of insurance, gas and maintenance out weight the price you paid for the car itself.
Only get one if you have a long daily commute, or if you're spending that much on Uber rides.
Lady friend of mine sold hers last year and just rides the bus to work now. She got sick of fixing it. It's was a standard turbo charged fiat.

You'll find a way to get the money. Just hang out with the other Jews. It's a super power to be a Jew. Jews stick together and enrich one another. Be a Jew, swim with the Jews. You get into your field and guess what ? Your boss is a Jew too.
