As people probably know, I follow a ketogenic diet. I've been following it since I was 19 or 20, more or less. I eat less than around 20g net carbs per day, except when its someone's birthday or something.
More recently, I've been cooking a simple breakfast: One chicken breast, one egg, olive oil, some leafy green, one tomato, heat it, eat it. I tried adding half an onion into it a few times. What I noticed was an immediate effect, I slept like a baby.
Ive had some sleep problems where I wake up at 3 or 4 am in the morning, and then go out for a walk. However, I started to notice that on my onion days, I sleep really, really soundly.
I've started to eat the same thing for breakfast more often now, and I fucking love the taste of onions. I dont use seasoning in my food, so the onions really add a lot of taste. They taste like orgasm in my mouth.
However, I recently googled it, and they have some carbs. I'm a bit at a loss. I dont want to eat carbs, but onions are so good I'm losing my mind. Plus I get amazing sleep.
Im at a loss. Maybe I'll have an onion quota.
