Just tell them you've converted to episcopalianism because it's more spiritually pure and ancient without being too centralized or corrupt like catholicism. Episcopal churches have tons of transexual gay priests and they're still very self-righteous.

I looked into it and although I disagree that this will help with my parents (sadly)
It will help me find a religious place of refuge on the island that I can go learn other people's perspective of God and join others in prayer in a place where I can be with my girlfriend without having to deal with homophobia during my exploration!
