if i can legally walk around with my gun via open carry laws... then why cant i make my gun open carry and mount it on the door of my truck?
this serves dual purpose becsaue it means i can fire while driving in the case im attacked from the car ahead of me
Open Carry in the US <-- Depending on the state, different restrictions apply. I couldn't find anything specifically against vehicle-mounted weapons, either...you might not even need Open Carry in that case. However, different states = different laws/restrictions.
The difference might lie in "brandishing", which is when the weapon is essentially being presented in a "ready-to-use" manner. Arguably, vehicle mounted weapons aren't really holstered, and might be considered under "brandishing".
Do you own a firearm? (I guess not, otherwise why'd you even ask what common sense says would be unlikely to be a good idea.)
...But I agree, traffic sucks. Shooting people in traffic, though, usually leads to more congestion and stopping -- the opposite of what you might intend.

This is a perfect example of what a republic is. Different Sates have different laws, under the umbrella of the constitution tho. States like California try to stretch the constitutional law. There are always lawsuits going on.
Open carry is a constitutional right. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
This 2nd amendment was put in the constitution to prevent a tyrannical Government removing Freedom. The people have the right. The people are the Militia.
Basically the US is little mini countries inside a republic. I'm hoping WEXIT happens for more States in the USA. Those people deserve freedom.
