Ghislaine was transferred from a low-security facility in Tallahassee, Florida, to a minimum-security prison camp in Bryan, Texas in ~mid July, around one week after the FBI interviewed her regarding Epstein. Some have speculated that she was moved to a minimum security prison in a way that would somehow be "connected" with this interview (conspiracy theory) as opposed to being a coincidence. However, this speculation came to an end this week thanks to the FBI director Kash Patel's confirmation during a GOP hearing that the interview had nothing to do with it, and instead its the bureau of Prison who independently decided on the move, with no input from anyone else.
It's too bad that sometimes these prison moves fuel these unfounded conspiracies. The timing here is a bit unfortunate since people will try to make connections between two entirely unrelated thing, and it's understandable: The FBI interviews Maxwell, and then one week later Maxwell is transferred to a minimum security prison unsuitable for prisoners serving sex offender charges. We are sometimes "too good" at seeing connections, when sometimes these seemingly related events just happen to happen back to back.
Thank you Kash Patel for clarifying this for the American people, who are totally going to believe it.
