I mean the odds though, usually they share information on some level with eachother (via the POV of 'alters'), just not whatever they couldn't face that required them to 'be someone else' in the first place.

Yeah, but they would maybe have their own agenda and be playing around. No reason to trust their -- or your -- testimony. Perhaps if there was one of those "guardian" types they might have a more aware perspective. But I see no reason for any such to bring anyone else in on the ...joke (or however you want to put it). It's not really harming anyone, and lets your alters have some fun, expressing themselves.
