So what, the tiktok user needs therapy or is overconsumption said therapy?
I'm getting closer to accepting I probably need therapy.
You need cbd oil not therapy

While my own research basically steals a lot of potential answers from any therapist I have, I could use some assistance with certain life strategies I can't seem to self-motivate.
it's a wonderful world, as long as you can afford it
So you're totally fine with plastic then?

oh i was just posting stuff that i think are good conversation starters in therapy as topics, to segway into deeper, conversations to ultimately help you do better work on yourself and feel better i guess
each of her videos cover a lot of great topics IMO with the like 'rage bait' as the click bait theme, but it's not really about the over consumption it's, a way to talk about, other things...
like in this one she talks about equating being a good mother with gift giving, and how that when imbalanced enough can become kind of, problematic.
this topic alone is a great one to explore to me personally, as a child of a mother who, had a similar issue. a lot of 90's kids had this experience- where every holiday was about getting hoards of stuff, simply to be surprised by the sheer amount, with mothers sort of, with this underlying anxiety, motherhood anxiety, of 'i hope its enough' so that she 'has good self worth in the future' and like
buying someone lots of stuff, while you may feel like it, would of absolved your childhood wounds- of coming from a childhood of lack, not feeling cared about etc- and blaming that as, the reason you had poor self worth later in life, and maybe, made some regrettable decisions because of it-
broadcasting all of that- past hurt, onto your kid, and their future, is extremely unhealthy in itself just flat out as a dynamic.
there's a lot to unpack just in this one topic for me lmao and she has a lot of good 'starter topics' like this in her series of videos like this where she's just being really really real

So the topic is about overconsumption then?
What about it, pro or con? Seems like pro, but I'm quote con. We should talk it out.
