Magic is just a placeholder for that which is not conventionally understood by canonical society. Once it becomes common knowledge, they refer to it as an art or a science. 

Graphic Design is just modern symbology. Medicine is just modern alchemy. Economy is just modern bartering. Science is just modernized magic. Even threefold law is effectively just the principals behind Sharing, something they teach kids now. 

I'd argue that magic is slower until it is no longer magical at all, and that once that magic is gone we begin to see it harm the world. Streamlining is the real enemy.

i always either absorb too much divine laws to the point i blow up

or i eventually take them off my self or someone gets pissed off at yahweh and they remove the divine laws themself

or jesus does it in some arguement he had with yahweh
