Actually, through strong chemical releases in both the body and brain, sex can have the person's brain imprint not just onto the act, but also their supply of the act. Teenagers are just starting to adapt to their hormones, making them have a very low tolerance to said releases, and sex itself operates as a drug on the brain that can force a sense of "one-ness" and attachment. Once attachment is there you can risk love dependencies forming on the equivilent of an addict.
Compare that to the adult, who has a much stronger tolerance compared to the teenager. Sure they are inhaling tons of pheromones as part of their job, but that only biologically explains it, not excuses it.
