Because it just plays into Christian persecution complex, meanwhile Christians ramp up their own oppressive systems and behaviors. Islamic nations are just more likely to openly and theatrically attack "faggots," while more privileged countries can act a bit more restrained and tactical in how they discriminate. You guys have been testing the waters for decades on how aggressive you can be against queers or other minorities if your Capitalist overlords allow you to act out the hatred and dull barbarity.

Well, the last 2 years corporations across the board celebrated pride month (which is originally men's mental heakth month).
