Bull fighting, fair fight?

I've recently been discussing bull fighting and whether or not it's fair to the bull.

I mean, they are a rather slowish animal that can't turn very fast.

The bull does have the ability to kill the matador. So that seems fair.

One thing that seems unfair though is that the bull does not have a choice. It's put in the ring by humans.

A more fair thought would be for 10 bulls to be in a field. Place the matador in the field. The bull that attacks the matador is selected. This way the bull starts the fight.

Would a lion be more fair? I'd expect the matador to be killed 50% of the time for a fair fight. right?

I kinda like when the bull wins. lol

Nah, it's animal abuse. Use murderers and rapists instead

It's not like the Bull had a choice here.

In most cases, save for the rare few, they will even kill the bull if they win the fight.

This brings up a larger question. When is okay to kill animals? To eat? To do medical research? For sport?

How about human intervention into wild game management? Population control to prevent wild swings in population. For example wolves, In some areas the population of wolves is controlled or culled so they do not eat themselves out of natural food. The population of wolves is controlled in equilibrium with the population of food.

Is this okay animal killing?
