Luna, talking to you is like talking a brick wall. I've tried my best to avoid you. Partly because I regard you as a special snowflake who's too sensitive to criticism, and partly because you don't listen. Your narrative is not that you don't care about users, your narrative is "mememe". It's not that people dislike the work you put in. They dislike your inability to deal with people.
..And your inability to sit down and consider what other people say. During the X years that I've been here, not once have I seen you assign any value to anything anyone on SC has ever said. The way you interact tells people that you're a spoiled brat, and that's why they don't like you.

bz is just a more mature software than this new SC software... this place is on par in complexity to SC2.... but bz is what like sc4? this place is ust a message board, but bz software is a software that lets other users create message boards.. so bz is infinite message boards... and also each message board is highly customiable.. you can customize the css, or change your board to be reddit style, or change your board into a republic with a senate... bz text input forms have markdown editors so you can do highly customizable stuff such as auto syntax highlight code or show tables etc... and on top of all that everything is real time. i wont even get into the reputation system, or the new text to voice feature, or the new file storage feature.. like the list goes on. dont even get me started on how maching learning can be leveraged!

I get it's highly customizable, but so are many other things.
What you're lacking is a problem and a solution. You're trying to sell an apple to the guy who wants a hammer.
I really want you to think. What is it that would make people want to use your forum? If there's no need for your product, nobody gives a fuck. You have to create a need. Or address an existing need.
so yes this new sc is less complex, but the fun of developing SC for me was never about just being as simple and efficient as possible, rather its about building something unique and awesome and futuristic.. something that has the potential to change the world. thats why i for the longest time.. despite you call calling me a tyrant, have worked to do away with this need for power hungry moderators in modern formums, and i tried to do that with the senate.
I don't remember calling you a tyrant. The idea of a senate is not bad per se. Your implementation of it just sucked. You essentially regarded SC as your doll house and its members as barbies. You just wanted them to follow your ideas. But real people aren't barbies. They're complicated. SC already had its set of values. You can't just barge in and expect to replace those values with whatever shit you conjure up on the spur of the moment. That's not how people work.
You need to create a need if you want to change anything. And sometimes you just can't have your way and you'll need to accept that.
Let me give you one tidbit I didn't realize when I was young: You can not control what other people think. You can only control yourself.
the senate was ruined by trolls though and no1 is as interested in it as id like them to be... its like forums are destined to always be lorded over by corporations and individuals instead of ran by the collective becasue even when you build such a system... human social patterns seem to put us into a verticle branching heriarchy rather than a group of equals. a good example is how comfortable everyone got with tfi running things now. he can make decisions on behalf of eveyone on his own, and even do things like ban key long time members such as primal without much backlash, or appoint random girls he meets online who know nothing about SC to the mod position. we humans are happy to give our power to someone else so long as they support our views. we are happy to throw away all the traditions
And so what Luna? It's not exactly news that people are happy supporting views that are beneficial to them.
But the reason your forum was a failure was not because of human nature, it was mostly your fault. You went crazy, banned people and didn't respect the community values. The reason people fed the flames when your forum went down was 10% because they were annoyed and 90% because they enjoyed causing you trouble.

But your software IS buggy. I don't know how you can not see that. I mean honestly, I got errors every single time I visited your website. These captchas made life a living hell, and that reputation system barred anyone new from entering the forum.

its very interesting how the narrative of me can be so in contrast with my true intentions.. people see me as how they want to see me, and that dictates the narrative so much more than true actions or evidence. there is so much selective memory. i am a tyrant but i want to get rid of tyrants and mods.... i am a bad dev but i want to build crazy futuristic complex systems... i want to silence everyone, but i want free speech to continue... which one is true?

Don't get me wrong. I'd love to see some real change. But you're trying to paint a fictional picture. Nobody thinks your website was dynamic. It was just as much stuck in time as any other website. And I'm tired of your BS Luna.
You keep talking about shit but you never do anything. It's so fucking disappointing. It's been what, 5 years? What have you really managed to do? All that talk, and you amounted to THIS. For someone who had so much ambition, it's really disappointing to see you crawl on the ground like this. You're just like every other kid who talks big.
You know what would be refreshing? Seeing someone actually stick to their plans and values and dreams. It's so rare.. People are so fucking disappointing.
