Can you give some examples of these values you're talking about?
Progressive values, people act like they aren't ready to embrace change to the point of going backwards.
You're assuming progressive is going forward. I disagree, the word progressive is misleading.
Using the word progress is basis propaganda. Giving the illusion of forward thinking when in reality it's moving backwards.
if you call this progress, I'm happy to go "backwards".
It can't be "going backwards" unless it's been done before, which is why the word is contrasted by "Conservativism".
Killing your babies, cutting off your genitals and breasts,
Both are sustainable solutions versus overpopulation, if given time. I'd think you'd be happy to see this lot taking themselves out of the gene pool in favor of people like yourself. More people alive also means more taxes out of your pocket and less of an abundance of resources, especially if they don't end up becoming consistent workers once they're adults around two decades later.
When breeding is no longer a requirement of survival beyond creating a younger base of worker bees to allow older generations to retire, and with a startling lack of jobs for people even during an upswing, why should we be pushing the so-called Biological Imperative of mating when more people means less overall availability? Allowing for choices that amount towards less procreation is ultimately the solution needed now, and means less money out of your pocket in the long run.
At the end of the day, gay and trans couples having less kids than hetero couples means a higher rate of adoption if not childless bonding. With less people there'll be more jobs and resources won't have to desperately push out as hard as they currently do. As a long term solution, pushing Progressive values is what will allow us to accomplish Population Controls instead of letting it run rampant, and rather than forcing people not to mate this gives them the illusion of it being a choice.
If you want humanity to have an easier time, then there needs to be less of them, ideally around 1/2 to 1/4 of the population we have now. There's less jobs from too many people, and the solution for that before was to build more jobs. As we run out of space to sprawl, as resources are consumed faster, as more jobs become automated, and with less people willing to retire to make room for younger hires, former ideas are not as realistic anymore.
mass un-vetted immigration, money laundering wars, political persecutions, inflation,
None of this is new, at all.
It also costs money to fix the problems of a former administration for issues like Inflation. If you look at the stats, we're actually in an Upswing economically when compared to the rest of the world (even with minimum wage vs current prices still being shoddy). Groceries keeping their prices up to gouge consumers as long as they have was Retail Corruption, and many chains have outright admitted to doing it, showing it as less of a government issue save for them having to force their hand to fix it.
If the start of a presidential term is seen as "doing well", that's likely from the runoff of the person before them (or in Trump's case, it's also specific world leaders chomping at the bit waiting for US politics to shift). The first year or two typically shows the right splurging the reserves so that the left will need to save up money and tax people again to fix the damages, which then sells to the common man that the big spenders are somehow more lucrative over short term gains.
The US has the most expensive health programs in the world backed by an insurance system so backwards that no one else uses it, it has crippling debts through Student Loans paired with an unrewarding job market, the housing market is becoming increasingly replaced with roommates in apartments and shared homes, our military budget is three times higher than China and 9+ times higher than the rest of the world, and the solutions presented tend to be over consuming our limited pool of resources even faster. If you want to see money being saved and lowered taxes, then the entire system needs to be reformed or we need to drastically reduce our overall population.
Many programs take longer than the term a president serves to go into effect, which in turn slows down a lot of progress as a country.
