I'm sure this will signal how this is a friendzone situation, which is generally not how a guy would like to present himself to the world, but sure let it rip.

I could be mistaken, but perhaps Buttered Toast is referring to Legga's simultaneous requests for favors and inability to reciprocate.
A coward is a coward because, while they recognize the honor in acts of self sacrifice, they are unable to comply due to self preservation instincts. Buttered Toast is pointing out that Legga does not care about the honor in self sacrifice. Otherwise he would not be asking so many favors due to fear of facing requests for reciprocation.
This could be the case, but my theory is that Legga simply doesn't understand the consequences of his own actions. It's not that he lacks a sense of honor, he lacks a brain. He's only now realising the grave he's dug. And yes, he's a coward.
But that's just my two cents. Who knows what the case really is.
Self sacrifice is stupid and honestly has narcissistic undertones, implying your life is so important and that others should recognize your "sacrifice." Ideas like this are why I think the West is filled with self-important narcissists.
I mean Westerners literally think real life is like a movie and it's annoying as fuck. The greatest form of sacrifice... is to move on from the idea and recognize that the world isn't your neocolonialist movie theater.

I enjoyed sussing out your argument. It is quite late here. I am confused wherein the altruist (honorable sacrificer) is required to reciprocate. A de facto altruist would be a person unselfishly devoted to the wellbeing of others who I believe performs their service irrespective of whether accolade (request to reciprocate) is forthcoming. The coward on the other hand experiences fear indeed, but you have bestowed on your coward the favorable yet much different personal attribute of honorable sacrifice, have you not?

He's likely attempting to invite the reciprocity assumption; That people who are told to share will have some power over him to make him share back.

Your inability to sniff out imposters is seriously baffling, you've faced enough of them by now that a normal person in your shoes would become more suspicious.
