 Yes! Exactly! We are owed death because we sin, but God paid the price for us, so we get the discounted fee of all of the suffering that sin brings, for free, like without death at the end. How amazing is that!!!? What a great discount!!!

All you have to do is become other than your sin, by choosing God, via baptism, and God will change your heart so that sin feels like suffering now, but you don’t die for the sin because it’s not yours anymore.

It was purchased from you, so that you can have eternal life instead, as long as you’re willing to put up with the suffering of sin and still try to do what is right, which is loving God by keeping His commands. As long as we try to keep them, which is how you know He has started a work in you, then we will not suffer true death. 

DISCOUNT INDEED! 

What if there is no sin?  Imagine someone without the concept.  Some indigenous tribe.  Are you going to say you have to teach him these things?  In a sense, you're teaching him sin.  You are the tree of knowledge.  You have corrupted them.

Sin is inherent because of the fall, (Adam and Eve), so now we are all born natural sinners because we are born without God’s law in our hearts and have to ask for Him to come into our hearts, via baptism, in order to be saved. Sinning is just falling short of God’s law, so everyone sins naturally, except Jesus because He was us the only perfect One. 

I didn’t feel the weight of sin until after I got baptized and I didn’t realize it was different from normal, until years later. You don’t feel guilty for sinning until after you have been saved. That’s how you know you’ve been saved/that God has started a work in you and if He has, He promises to finish it.
