Good is being exactly what people wanted from him, which is to be an impartial host.
That's actually a complicated answer, if we account for what was requested during prime ages of this community. As much as I can easily say that Meta is doing a better job than Luna when it comes to the technical side of things, her behavior is so deplorable that it attracted a curious audience. She basically has Reaper-cred on a forum for people looking for outlandish, disorderly behavior, and drama.
This place also has a habit of asking for the things they don't actually want, finding many disappointed if not outright leaving once they get it. When Meta was acting out and posting images of Cardassians the community was closer than ever, but peace from the looks of it is boring and conflict has become something the majority had their resistances weathered down over.
People need to utilize Discord if they want new users, or get creative.
That's just the thing, people always make suggestions but never want to put in the effort themselves. We aren't having a lack of solutions so much as willing manpower. The path of least resistance is to go where others are, rather than to drag people to their own place, and a lot who've left here have powerful negative associations over how much they believe it to have harmed them.
Luna’s biggest growth play may have been advertising on PsychForums—though she got lucky with that forum getting locked.
The drama with that moderator had her present them a place they could post about it without it being taken down. That was great until they realized Luna was crazy, then only Xena stuck around. There was also Kiwi where we had people appreciating the freedoms, but then she went out of her way to make sure she'd fail in getting new members over weird Null/Dexter shit.
Forums have been considered more old fashioned overtime, it's more Discords right now than ever. They would need a reason to prefer longwinded permanency over quicker chat, less investment, and more anonymity.
I see people complaining about Good, but I don’t see people bringing in new users, or raising the bar of content for anyone who would show up here. Except Jada, he’s complained but actually created some non-spam engagement.
Who would you say is complaining about him, if you were to list the names?
It’s not about new people, it’s about at least one person being here for when new people or old people come back. Why would you stay if there’s no one here? They come, glance, ditch and then never come back because they know it’s dead because good doesn’t come here.
If he were here when people popped up, they would converse with him for a while, others would join to see what they’re talking about, add their thoughts, then others would come to add theirs, then God could leave and the three people could talk and then others would join the convo and then someone could leave and others would join. That’s how it works. Lurkers only log in if there’s something happening or someone to talk to and good refused to be that person on his own site. That’s the problem.
That’s why i should own the site and then I’ll be the person who is always here and always starting the convo, but why would I fuel his site for him when he doesn’t even care about it at all? I’m just annoyed because this is the only place I go, on the internet, that’s not discord or TikTok.
I guess that’s not an app and this is the only place I talk to people on the internet, other than the discord and this one server where I’m trying to get to know this dude. Where will i ask what to do next with him? Where will i get advice on how to be homeless and how to make YouTube videos and stuff?
I need a community and you people are it. You’re the only ones who have known me through my insanity and could know me now. I miss you guys and your hatred for me. It really helps me know the truth when otherwise, I’d get advice from people who don’t know how evil I’ve been and aren’t cynical. Good needs to go.
