One of the biggest divides in the forum comes between the people who are there to have intellectual discussions of sociopathy and its ramifications and teenage 4chan refugees with anime avatars who are there to make fun of them. The interesting thing about this conflict is that it’s hard to say which side is more sociopathic. Looking for authentic communication on the internet is “beta,” the term the community uses to describe non-sociopaths. So it’s possible that the weeaboo edgelords might be the true sociopaths because they’re willing to troll even a community set up for them.
After a few hours lurking, you realize that “sociopaths” spend most of their time either hitting on each other or cockblocking each other.
Part of the definition of sociopathy is not caring about “belonging” to a group, and only playing along to see what personal advantages it can get you. It’s hard to see that happening here. The posters seem remarkably invested in each other, for better or for worse.
