has anyone else on this forum struggled with having ocd traits before, and what helped you calm down ??
I've been deleting your duplicate posts to grant the chat more history to scroll through, when I've felt like it.
I have dealt with OCD things, it took a lot a lot of work to stop responding to it and even then it's more of a feast-or-famine sort of thing. Either I do NOTHING about it or I do too much.
Still curious what caused it, this is a recent phenomenon.
The repeating struck me as a reinforcement, like when someone repeats something in their head to remember it, cut through distraction, or otherwise keep a focus. It may have translated into a habit? It may have stuck for emphasis.

I get that for speech, but typing seems like a lot of effort.

Seems like copy paste, which can't be that hard, and once the habit comes from the other reinforcement...

Even highlighting and hotkeys is more effort than not.
