I'd moreso say you are a user by nature, and find more interest in others when you see something to gain from them.

I'm not a user. Say for example I ask someone for the link to the Discord chat. They don't owe me anything; I don't owe them anything even were they to give it to me. (other than perhaps a "thank you")
Interesting to me is didn't realize the sticky link was functional and Andrew led me to it because he wanted me to know how to find it, it would seem.
What doesn't add up to me is he then became embarrassed from the teasing about talking to me and cuts me off

You tend to feel no need to talk to most people until they have something you want or you feel as if they have threatened you in some way.
