Cleaning

pre holiday home prep is part of the holiday fun to me, if you are a ‘home maker’ type you get it. There is nothing better than a perfectly prepped fresh clean home Christmas morning that is like in full gear christmas cozy mode and smells like freshly baked chocolate chip cookies you cannot change my mind about this.

Bathroom and kitchen is firstmost important. if you don’t have these right, the rest is just not it. Just my opinion, you can come for me about it.

okay life update tried the scrub n bubbles orange mega shower. It’s all lies. Just a diluted formula like it was watery and smells the same as regular scrub n bubbles. I’m on an adventure in my head to find my favorite best cleaning products that win the Olympic gold medal of best cleaning to me. I tried this one to see, just because it is a popular go to amongst my people.

Who doesn’t like foamyness but, I don’t know if it stands up to my standards. Now that I have seen the light of industrial or commercial grade professional cleaning products made by science to be extremely effective and perfect,… I’m just like, ok show me the real cleaners.

This may all sound crazy to some but once you do the math on how much product you spend money on, you’ll maybe start to understand the reasoning behind my cleaner adventure. Less is more with better products. Savings. Cost effective. Don’t throw your money down the drain on half ass cleaner that requires too much product and work time elbow grease etc to get the job done.

Also the smell of scrub n bubbles is my least fave but I just like the foam….

letting it sit for a while to see what it does without scrubbing at all, the whole non scrubbing thing doesn’t actually exist but I’m just, it would,be nice if there was such a thing. So we will test things for this aspect, like ok how hard or easy was it to actually clean the tub with etc.

I have really high cleaning standards, when I get a job done I do it right. You know. Why do it if it’s not going to turn out right. That, bothers me. Just, do it the right way the first time around. So I’m trying to lock down my methods.

I am a cleaning wizard. Bippity boppity boo

Okay so I forgot about the scrub n bubbles that I left to "sit" on the tub for a bit for like an hour or more I don't know, lol

but I came back to it to scrub her down with my extra large white scrub daddy and it was great. 2-3/10 level elbow grease required at maximum, it even worked on the grout lines and they turned white just from a few passes with the scrub down. It was so fast it was more like a wipe down, the product definitely does it's fucking job.

The cleanest tub ever it looks brand new, brand new I mean it's shining white, spotless, beautiful.

Scrub daddy works, mega shower is fantastic, I take everything back I said the formula is perfection.

The only downside is you do need a lot of the product, so it's, maybe not the most cost effective thing.

Def recommend using with scrub daddy though, it hits different. Trust me.

No residue, no weird smell nothing, just a shiny clean tub.

The only other downside is just, the smell of scrub n bubbles is not my favorite, but it works so well and my brain associates it with such a satisfying result of clean that I'm pleased with, like, it was so easy to just wipe and rinse too, quick. I... it really... I see the hype, I do. .....

I just wish it smelled different and took less product to work, I'm glad they have the concentrated like intense mega-shower formula though.

It definitely worked... and it disinfects so it's, a true clean.

I wonder if there's anything even stronger though, kind of reading about it and basically you have to be careful with where you're using these more intense products. Depends on the material you're applying it to... so basically there's kind of a happy medium of harsh cleaning chemical you can use repeatedly without also ruining the fuck out of whatever stuff you have.

Soooooo I wonder which harshies smell the best are the most concentrated have the quickest easiest work time and do the best job, while being chemically perfect for the material i'm using the product on aka not ruining it.

scrub daddy is also good for scrubbing things without scratching ever, but gives a better scrub than the average scrubbing scrubber. i love the extra large white one, there's no technology better than a scrub daddy just fucking buy it.

Okay update on the pre-holiday cleaning fun. so fresh so clean.

i found a scrub daddy for your body, infused with shea butter (yes) and whatever else you want (pick your flavor, tea tree, lavender, coconut?, etc)

it's obviously not as intense as a scrub daddy but it's kind of a scrubby sponge and it's ergonomic in your hand so it's so easy to just use literally everywhere, it doesn't slip out of your hand even if you're scrubbing or gripping it really hard

and- to top it off, it also is literally a like what- $5.00 pedicure... they're disposable which is what i prefer, bacteria accumulates in sponge-like surfaces, technically it's possible to clean them with light and then they would be like medical grade sanitized but, i still just think it's disgusting to use the same sponge over and over again.

i'm the kind of person that won't use the same towel twice, it drives some people crazy, but yes. anyways.

the sponge though. it gets you so much cleaner than just regular soap and any other thing i've tried, and it actually feels good, and it is moistourizing as you go- so you're not like scraping your skin off you're just cleansing and moistourizing it gently... so it's clean and then not like extremely dry and scratchy afterwards.

it is the cleanest my skin has ever felt. you have to do this, you have to try it. i'm serious.

and i want a pedicure everyday but who has the time and money to be spending on that? i take really good care of my feet and hands, i'm a nail girly, skin care girly, whatever.

i cannot like, go to bed with disgusting feet, i cannot. they need to be scrubbed.

so yeah, this like, blew my mind. at first i just got it to scrub my feet i figured whatever it's a sponge, i'll probably buy it once and determine it's a waste of money and whatever throw it away never buy it again.

but no- no no no, i was so wrong. i will never shower the same way again. these are a part of my daily routine now. it feels so good, it works so well, it's so easy to use, and it's so sanitary.

and an added bonus- then when you're done with it, you set it down like on whatever edge you have right, and it doesn't leave a soaking wet mess just sitting there in soaking wet puddles of water everywhere. it dries really quickly so like, it's not making your shower ledge all disgusting. i can't stand a disgusting shower ledge. you KNOW what i'm talking about don't lie. lol

so yes it's "clean girl" approved "clean girl" product of the year award, holy shit. saves you money time and at the end you are cleaner than a barbie doll like your skin feels so smooth, it smells amazing, it feels amazing. this sponge.

and the best part is the disposable.

p.s it's also kid friendly, because the texture is so satisfying to play with, and it doesn't 'hurt' your skin or anything when you use it like it's gentle enough. kids love them too, my neice and nephew are also obsessed and the toddler played with this sponge for an hour just fascinated by how it keeps producing fun soapy soaps and she cleaned her hands with them (do you know how hard it is to get a toddler's hands clean, do you understand how grubby they get) and not only did i have to do nothing but she did it herself. she cleaned her hands herself- while playing with it. she held it over the tub and just squished it and scrubbed it around a lot she loved it.

and i know she will want to use one again. so i keep a pack just for her to wash with too. and then, when she's done. boom. toss it out. don't have to keep any bacteria in your house sitting in your nice clean home. for a truly sanitized toddler.

toddler stick their hands in their nose mouth eyes it's flu season you stomach bugs going around all kind of nonsense, it's impossible to get them to wash their extremely grubby hands- but this sponge changed all of that. now she likes washing her hands because she wants to play with the sponge and it gets them cleaner than they would of been with a standard cleaning. i didn't even have to do anything. just stood there and watched her play with it.

she loved it!

so yes, kids like these too. everyone in my family is getting a pack of them for christmas. merry christmas.

(i will say obviously if you have specific skin conditions i would recommend ask your doc first. ok thats all.)

merry christmas.
