Cyber Security for med

00:58 Nuts2u: Someone in Virginia attempted to sign into my Amazon on a Fire Tv soundbar. You think you’re so smart?

08:05 Blanc: You can sign into Amazon through a speaker now? Remotely? lol

08:08 Blanc: I guess the speaker thing makes sense because it's connected to your wifi though, so... yeah. You can hack anything connected to wifi in someone's house... unfortunately.
08:09 Blanc: Like that's why I don't have security cameras. They actually can end up being hacked and used as surveillance, if someone really wanted to. To watch you inside your fucking home, and, memorize your habits, your daily routines, when you leave in real time.
08:10 Blanc: Then burglarize the place. If someone is trying to hack your amazon, I'd uh, ..... illicit the help of a privacy protection security service that ensure your financial and personal data is secure.
08:11 Blanc: Anything with credit cards attached to it, personal addresses, etc. Sometimes it's just a run of the mill small time hack, but it also could be identity theft.
08:12 Blanc: If you're not 'looking for it' you wouldn't notice until it's too late, and it can be difficult to trace if you don't have the help of someone who really knows how to trace hackers who know how to 'cover their tracks' pretty well.
08:13 Blanc: Identity theft is very dangerous for this reason, once they take what they want to take, there's no way to untake it private info wise, and sometimes getting compensated for whatever is taken from you financially is, like pulling teeth... it requires a lot
08:13 Blanc: a lot of proof, which is difficult to acquire, on purpose- so the hacker is not caught.
08:14 Blanc: The proof is difficult to attain if you're not familiar with, how to hack the hacker, the data needed to prove you were hacked, and by whom, and what they took, how they entered, how they took it, where did it go.

By the way, I also wanted to add, you'd think oh- this only happens to people who engage in risky internent behavior like dealing with crypto or going on the dark web but no this can truly happen to anyone, though a lot of avenues, you'd be shocked.

But yeah, data protection, privacy of information, privacy of financial data & protection aka cyber security... there are companies that do this as a service and you pay for it monthly like insurance or whatever, and they just make sure no one can access your stuff, and if someone has, they'll know about it and be able to alert you, stop everything in its tracks and, prevent the crime from happening or the data from being stolen ideally.

This is why you want to be really careful about what info is shared online, what accounts you allow access to your financial data, keeping financial data and your personal tech separate, as well as using extra measures like, don't connect to public wifi's like starbucks wifi with your phone if there is data on there that is sensitive, and using RFID signal blocking wallets for credit cards if you do carry a physical card around in public.

It's like yeah, apple air tags are great, but if you can track you- so can someone else. Just, keep that in mind. Lol there's even weird people who track airplanes in the actual air and, their where abouts, they can track weapons like military issued weapons they can see where they are and who has them in possession or is using them, and if you have a phone or any social media accounts you use regularly, you yourself are very trackable. Photos you share are trackable or may have revealing data in them. Just opening links or participating in messenger apps is enough to qualify you to be at risk for any form of breech, obviously, opening emails. and obviously all the calls, texts, and yes- even snapchats- you send. are accessible data that is traceable.

basically everything you do leaves a 'trace' with your thumb prints all over them, on the internet- if you're operating by standard procedures. No, using a VPN does not *really* help. It can help somewhat but, there is technically work arounds for it so yeah.

Hire a data protection / financial data / cyber security protection service. And, if you have any suspicious or fraudulent stuff going on, banking wise, or on your amazon account in particular. Passwords being changed on your stuff, or maybe someone accessing things like your other social media accounts. You can get a PI who specializes in cyber security to investigate for you and help you with the legal side of things, should you have an actual hack going on.

These days it happens simply because you signed up for a website at all. Even with a secure system free of keyloggers and other scammy gimmicks, if they hit a company directly they get a stockpile of passwords that they can then turn around and sell to a black market.
