What's your old method?  Upload where/how?  Do you use the "Insert Image" option on the menu above?  You need to have an "https" url for it to be accepted for a link, I think.

I tried some image host websites but those links didn't work either.

Okay, first you go to Account. 

Next, go to where there's a box labeled Avatar. 

In that blank, you're going to want to put in an image link. 

Just like that, you have an avatar! 

Okay in all seriousness though I looked at your image host and I see the problem. Rather than posting the image link from within the host you instead linked to it's main page.

If you right click the image however, it yields this link: https://gcdnb.pbrd.co/images/X2NwqCCTcvSC.jpg

I've decided to save you some time and fix it for you, but in the future that's what to do. I personally use Snag.gy and Imgur.
