Do you actually care what will happen after your life time
No
and the life time of your children?
Not having kids
If so, why? It doesn't affect you
The rich will continue to rule, the rest will continue to work

I've been leaning more into this idea lately, but it's basically the closest thing to immortality we're offered.

There is the question of trends and tech, though. What will the future rich be versus the future poor?
Transmetropolitan made an interesting argument over it.

People viewing children as extensions of themselves is part of the problem and ironically ends up hurting them.
They already created a perfect infrastructure of control with the aggressive use of asphalt and cheaply made housing sprawls. Along with all the other institutions such as social security and banks. The only question is how can control be taken even further? I'd say things are pretty complacent and nerds aren't doing as well as they used to so what that means for the technology fetish idk.

when you're autistic and live somewhere overpopulated and disjointed, it's hard to find work to begin with. I get some small donations as of now but it's not much.
Yes, in very many ways I am definitely my parents.
I have had mostly positive experiences too, so I don't really see that as much of a problem so much as uncanny.

hmm.. topic and post are two different questions I guess but okay
why would you care what would happen in your childrens lifetime and not grandchilds lifetime.
it doesnt affect me, directly ofc. same logic

that is really weird, and very unique for you.
It doesn't matter if I'd be dead, I choose to care because I love that I was able to live, even if flawed, miserably complex, depressing, etc. I'd want to have children and try to be a good father and instill in them an understanding of how to survive. I want Humanity to conquer the stars.
I don't think the argument, the world is such a bad place to have kids is a valid argument, we had kids in the beginning when weren't the dominate ones in the food chain, I'd still have kids in the zombie apocalypse, I don't think any setting is an excuse not to have them. Yea they could die, and they will experience pain, but they'd also experience so much more.
As for the idea of exposing them to tech, fuck no. I'd keep my kids off the internet, I don't need retarded content frying their brains, and pedophiles trying to groom them. Especially with how normalized pornography is.
