Dieting males go for an end total of 1.2k, while dieting females go for 1.0k. After adding up all the food you then subtract based on a model of how much movement you did that day to see how many calories you burnt from the total, and that's your daily intake.
People who exercise a lot, like those who play sports, need a higher intake to make up for how much exercise they're doing as they burn the fat into muscle, but with a sedentary lifestyle you can get away with barely eating anything.
