Pores and Primers

I noticed that the "pore erasing" type of primers for face tend to temporarily exasperate the size of your pores, it's not noticable unless you look up close and use it like, on a daily basis. everything went back to normal after a while, but just saying, i'm not a fan of primers that aren't basically just skin care. and the concept of 'pore-filling' is... not only not good for your pores but, out dated?

i'm sure an esthetician could like clarify about this and what's going on. but just as a consumer i've noticed it and so it made me stay away from primers with silicone.

curious what the best primers are out there, that are also good for your skin. or what an esthetician that is also a makeup artist would recommend for regular use. and also, would like to be educated on what it is in the product that causes the pore dilation and why certain products don't or like, good alternatives for smoothing without the dilation.

maybe it's all in my head or i'm just misunderstanding something. it might not be the silicone, or maybe they don't look dilated and that's just my eyes deceiving me.

i know there are other factors that contribute to pore dilation like weather conditions and chemistry stuff, and its sort of a natural process for them right? i don't know anything about pores. someone teach me.
