Whenever media bashes pineapple pizza, I notice it's always depicted as just cheese with a ton of pineapple. That hack Gordon Ramsey did the same thing.
It's too weird for me, the juice changes the properties of the pizza.
It's not always that juicy and it can be put on something that'll soak it up. big wet chunks straight on cheese isn't good yeah.
Pineapple on pizza is perfect when it is done right. Dominos, Papa johns, etc, they just throw refrigerated canned pineapple on the pie and by the time it's done cooking you have barely warmed drippy pineapple making your crust soggy. Pineapple that has been grilled to caramelized perfection like a Hawaiian roast then placed on a pizza is the top teir of pizza 🍕 which no other topping could ever hope to surpass.
Figs, honey, and goat cheese pizza is the next runner up.

So the pineapple isn't even juicy anymore?
