I dunno, it sucks I guess? 

Time of year's the bigger culprit right now and we've had dry spells before. Even the website in it's Nabble days was actually slower than this with only a few replies a day. 

I've stopped attempting to pre-anticipate it's end.

It's been really slow traffic for more than a year dude.

We've had fair activity in Fall and Spring with mid-activity in Winter, but since COVID some patterns have been offset. 

The place also still gets lurked, but otherwise there's a good number pulling the "It's SC's fault I feel this way, not mine!" problem. They typically wait for someone to post something legitimately nutty and then appear out of nowhere like metal on magnets. 

If the place eventually dies, it will be because of those of it's community who fled themselves, the ones who'd have done it out of boredom left a while ago. It's a shame to see people witling down as they get older, but I've been saying we've been cannibalizing ourselves down to the marrow for years.

Pretty much as the above, right now's slow as it's that time of year. 🤷

More redundant than that is explaining it to people each time it happens, like Amnesia, but then comes Fall and something strange surfaces. 

Is it really only drama that draws people? I feel like even our recent drama was bad.

When it is done in such a way as to not only be too absurd to keep quiet, but also pull enough spotlight off of their past? People come back. 

As of right now no one wants to be the pincushion or punching bag, they're too weak. 

I feel like even our recent drama was bad. 

The CS chapter was pretty loud, but people have streamlined their language and have no interest in actual discussion since COVID. 

People in general are becoming increasingly polarized, even outside of here I am seeing people trimming their friends lists down. 2023 has felt oddly aggressive by comparison to former years and I can't really pinpoint why.
