I got these cups from Target for a pretty good deal, they come in sets of 6 online, or individual in store only if you want. The sets are also in store but, might want to check if it's stock at your local store before you pick up.

One of my favorite scents I've tried, other than the neutral is called "under the olive trees" by Berger Lamp. These are very strong and fill up a large space very well, so like they said I recommend diluting it.

Currently burning it right now and honestly this video is so helpful. They really didn't emphasize the cap part enough, if you don't cap it after 20 minutes, your house will turn into a catholic church filled with the holy smoke. Not literally smoke but, it will be too much lol. And you will burn through all your fluid too quickly, resulting in having to buy more unnecessarily.

But yeah in my opinion, if you are used to working with chemicals, then I would say this is like, a concentrated version of a candle or oil burner, wax burner, what have you. So, keep that in mind.

This stuff, is on the heavier duty side. Lol I love it for that reason though, because I notice some candles don't have a lot of throw to them.

I genuinely just want to clean the air, and I want it to feel very refreshing to breathe in. Not a lot of candles can provide that 'clean' air feeling you get when you breathe. Hard to explain.

But if you are someone sensitive to fragrance and get migraines, tread lightly in this territory. I would say, dilute it to 1/4th a cup of fragrance maximum added to the oil burner filled with mostly neutral. Probably less than that.

Other home fragrance tips I like

1. Orange rinds in the garbage disposal

2. "Potpourri" or "simmer pot" recipe's

3. Essential Oil Plotting

This is a great fragrance, very potent and powerful so you can actually smell it. It's a great alternative to buying those fragrance beads things you put in your laundry. So these I just put on like 3 or 4 dryer balls depending on the size of the load and I'll put 3-15 drops on each ball. Then pop them in the dryer with the clothes or towels, and come out smelling wonderful. I do it with all the bedding, shower curtain and rugs too.

Other tips:

1. There are other fragrance products designed specifically for using with the vaccums, on furniture and carpet/rugs. As well as sprays. And, pillow sprays. All of these are good ideas too, to keep all the fabric nice and fresh.

2. And keeping a stick diffuser of the mersea or whatever you like, I like really fresh 'clean' light scents. And I'll just put the diffuser by the bed, one in the front hall, maybe one in the bathroom. It only works for a short time though, so I'd say this is my least favorite of options- but nice to do from time to time if you really want to go the extra mile, especially for like, maybe a guest or something. Whip out a fresh one and put it right by their bed, it's nice to fall asleep by.

3. Fragrance packs in your closets and drawers.

4. And now BMW is even releasing fragrance diffusers for your car, and Berger Lamp has some as well that attach to the air vents that look pretty spiffy.

*disclaimer #1: TLDR clean properly first

Obviously, all of this being said, if you haven't cleaned properly, there's no use. This is simply the icing on the cake of a well maintained home. There's nothing more that I can't stand than someone who cleaned sloppily using products that only half worked, half didn't, just smearing dirt around. Leaving a horrendous smell, and then afterward burning some random fragrance to cover it up. There's a right way to do it, so your efforts aren't wasted. Same goes for your washer dryer. If it's not cleaning the clothes properly, if your washer and dryer need to be maintained and cleaned, no point in using the essential oils on top of musty clothes. Take proper care of the things you own. Your garbage disposal, your dishwasher, your yard/garden. It requires a tiny bit of researching but, there is a longevity to things that have been properly cared for. Including tile floors, vinyl floors, etc.

I live in Florida where mold, mildew, and fungus spores essentially have free reign. We have no problem with humidity, we actually have far too much of it. For that reason, I highly recommend the HEPA air filtration systems for your homes AC systems. After it has been properly cleaned, regularly. This will not only prevent dust and dander from gathering on your stuff and your walls, but will attribute to that "clean air" feeling. If your home is musty, your air vents and filtration system may need help. That being said, also if you have any cracks in the home anywhere, it's likely moisture or air can escape into and out of those cracks, which isn't good for the cleanliness of the home. So you want to make sure things are properly sealed, and not leaking air. This takes an expert to take a look at things, but it's worth the check. As some people find out their home's been "leaking air" for quite a while, and it's causing their AC bill to get pretty high. In Florida, this stuff matters more. It's the difference between thousands of dollars sometimes.

**disclaimer #2: be careful about fragrances in homes, some essential oils, candles, or other oils/waxes you want to burn may not be safe for pets. Just like cleaners. Research before you burn anything, cats and smaller dogs are especially sensitive.

You'd think that they'd be more wary of that kind of thing these days, especially since more people got pets during COVID.

Things that just make sense to stop putting in homes in 2023

Grout lines, and flooring with an uneven texture and porous makeup.

Always seal your floors, ideally with the highest durability seal. This prevents smells from locking into your floors, and also improves their longevity. Maintain the seal as recommended and then you won’t have to worry about replacing floors.

Having an uneven surface tile for example, that’s sort of wavy, or highly textured wood, is going to make cleaning a bit more difficult, because you have to press harder to get dirt out of all the crevices or dips in texture.

This is also why I hate grout lines, it’s inevitably going to get filled with dirt, and it’s an extremely difficult and tedious thing to clean. I am anti-grout. Grout is out.

I discovered groutless tile and resin sealed floors and never looked back.

I thought putting everything in containers and in square drawer inlays and drawer dividers was extra, but now I've seen the light and I see the reason why it is used and so popular. It just makes sense.

I've seen that as being more useful for stuff like socks.

It is nice to see something so minor make things appear more orderly.
