Okay like, I understand how some would not respond well to having the gender of their name flipped around, and while I don't agree with banning over it I see how websites could end up feeling a corporate pull to tow those lines based on what the political climate was starting to look like, but I'm finding people being like:

Some Twitter users commented that they plan to leave the platform in response to the policy change. "This will be my last tweet and I will no longer be on Twitter for the sake of my own safety," one Twitter user wrote on Wednesday.

Safety.

For the sake of their own safety.

Am I missing something here?

do you agree and think they aren't safe??

It seems like a stretch on the word 'safety' to have it be over that.

Doxing for example could still happen, dead name or not, so as a matter of safety everything's about the same in any way I could imagine it being construed.

The real answer is that Twitter is now owned by a nazi boomer moron just like yourself.
