I never liked spending money on phones ever since my brand new latest phone of two weeks fell out of my pocket and got run over by a car.

I prefer new phones (cuz not fucked batteries) but I get cheaper ones and use them until they're absolutely fucked.

For example right now, I have the Samsung A14 which I just got new but it was only like 250. Still works great and fine so I don't understand the hype about having the latest version when the differences in quality are minimal yet the differences in price are astronomical.

phone is fun but addicting.

i was happier with a shitty nokia and all i could do was text/call and play spotify.

but the device is necessary for certain things. so i try to keep it fairly smooth running, and you know. if i have a little extra to spare here and there after a while like, every 3/4 years i'll upgrade

but i dont buy every single model they put out, i feel like thats almost a waste

You'd be surprised how many kids these days see my phone and call me broke lmao. They're getting every single brand new iPhone as soon as it comes out (how??). But yeah I really only use my phone for reading before bed / music / phone calls so as long as it runs smooth I'm good.
