Well being totally poor means you are shut out of a lot of things you need to build with including money itself.

Go get your CDL that pays like 100k a year and all you have to do is drive around.

Or you could become a plumber or electriction or drywaller or something.

Or you could start your own landscaping business

I don't even have enough money for any of that right now.

I'm going to trade school it's free you could do that

How is that relevant for something that's free?

Thought you meant a physical place like one of those apprenticeship programs.

Okay, then go to college. Pay for it with pell grants and student loans. You will get yourself 100k in debt, but you will end your college career 4-8 years from now a much more mature man and with some education that employers will like. This recession we are in will likely be over at that time too.

My Masters degree put me 90k in debt.

That is why I am working for the government for 10 years. After 10 years the debt is totally dismissed. If you don't work for the government, then you have to pay 20 years before the debt is dismissed (Assuming you don't pay in full, and just make minimum payments based on your income)

Would it also make sense to do a $300/year programming course that has certificates?

All the information you need to learn a programming language are available online. Chat GPT is amazing at answering programming questions and even providing you examples of code.

I guess if you are so unmotivated to teach yourself by doing your own projects then I guess a class would be good.

I certainly think that computers are the highest paying profession so if you choose to study them in any field you will be fine

if I was in highschool again and i wanted to get into programming, I think I'd do this:

Join the game Eve Online and build websites using the API. The API provides you with tons of information adn you can make a really nice portfolio of examples of work you have done. Once you have 5-6 websites in your portfolio, you can submit that to employers, and 1 will certainly hire you if the languages you learned matches what they are doing

This is probably a thread made by TC to see who posts.

If you told Turncoat he was the smartest wisest and coolest person here, he'd find a reason to disagree with it to 'keep the conversation going'.

 Isn't that his job?
