Also considering a nursery because we had one when I was a kid but actually I wonder if the extra room is impractical and if my desire for it is almost entirely nostalgic
I don't want to make it too big because I don't want to hire a cleaner

2-3 bedrooms(1 for me and SO, 2 for each kid), 2 bathrooms with tubs, a kitchen, a living room, a gym room, a VR room, 1-2 laboratory rooms(one for me and maybe another for SO), 1-2 office rooms(one for me and maybe another for SO)
Two rooms for me and my s/o if I ever have any, because privacy is important. Generally I'd prefer for us to stay in one and meanwhile the other can be used as a guest room, but when we fight Or are tired of seeing each others face, then we have our personal rooms. 2 for the kids.
One mandatory guest room. One underground room for DIY stuff. I think each room should have a bathroom but -1 or 2 is fine, as long as it's convenient.

I like spacious places though, so more the merrier. Or I'll incorporate them into my kitchens and drawing rooms in order to increase the space.
